The problem with most marketers is that they start off on the wrong foot. Most online marketers find a product they are passionate about and then they go out hunting a market. Only to end up frustrated that they are not making any sales.
So, let me ask you this… What came first, the ThighMaster or unwanted thigh fat… Teeth Whitener or coffee-stained teeth… Acne Cures or pimples?
Right, the market has always been there for these products… all that had to be done was to introduce the market to a product for the right price.
What is so cool about the internet is… there are so many tools on the internet that collect marketing data for you. All you have to do is learn how to access the information and discover these gold mines.
The tool I want to introduce you to today is ehow.com. A successful product is one the gives a solution to a problem. ehow.com provides high quality answers to peoples burning questions.
How do you use ehow.com to do your market research. There are two different methods I will talk about here. (Both are based on the most popular post) The first method gives you the most popular post for the whole site and the second tells you the most popular for different categories.
Method one: Go to ehow.com. Scroll to the bottom of the page. On the left hand side of the page you will find “Top 10 Ehows”. Check them out and see if you can match a product to the market.
Method Two: From the home page at ehow.com click on one of the categories under “Browse How Tos” . Choose larger markets like “Parenting” or “Pets”. After clicking a new page will open with results. At the bottom middle of the page yo will find “Top 10 Articles” for that category. You will also see sub categories labeled “More Categories”. Click on these as well to see the top per category.
So what to do with your findings? Here’s one the questions I found in the top ten “How to Remove Cat Urine Stains on Clothing”. There are CPA and Click Bank products that are solutions to this problem. You simply match the market to the product.
See how simple that was… Imagine how many different markets you can discover with just a little research and some clicking.
